3 Ways to Make Money Without Affiliate Marketing

You always hear about the same things when it comes to internet marketing…PPC, SEO, CPA, and a handful of other ways to make money with affiliate marketing. And indeed, information marketing is the best way to build a business online, whether it is through affiliate marketing or creating your own product and having your own affiliates.
You should definitely make a website and do search engine optimization and build an email list and think of long term results. But there are ways to make money that take a little less time. Here are just three ideas to make money that don’t focus on affiliate marketing.
- One method that is becoming increasing popular is local marketing. Almost every internet marketer knows how to put up a website, write articles, get some backlinks, do simple SEO and get some traffic. But…outside of our group, people aren’t so good at marketing online. You can contact local businesses and tell them how having a targeted website will help them get more customers. Then work out a deal and build them a website and get traffic. They are likely to want your help again in the future so doing this is a good way to get clients who will continually pay you to help them.
- That does require contacting people and working out deal, though. A similar option is to set up a targeted website focused on a local keyword and build traffic to it. After it is ranking well and getting traffic, you know that it will be able to help someone…so you contact local businesses and offer to sell your website to them. For example, you could make a website focused on “Pittsburgh Pennsylvania chiropractors.” After it is ranking well, contact some chiropractors in that area and offer to sell your site to them, or at least have an ad on your site. This way you do the work ahead of time and clients will know exactly what to expect.
- Brokering is a profitable idea that not too many people use. You could be a JV broker and help someone with a product find someone with a large email list…then you just hook them up to do a big promotion and ask for 10% or so of the profits. Another option is service brokering. Let’s say you find a person who is looking for someone to build him a website and he is willing to pay $1000. What you do is take the offer, then find someone who can make you a website for $500. He builds you the website, you give it to the other person, and you make $1000. You did have to pay for the other person, but you still make $500 profit.
These aren’t very detailed, and I only share them to give you a few ideas of how to make money without affiliate marketing. Some people aren’t as successful as affiliates, but really took off when they tried out local marketing. There are lots of options out there, and hopefully you can find something that works well for you. You can find more information online about these topics, and I may add more advice about these to my blog later on. Give me some feedback and let me know if I should continue discussing these, or just focus on affiliate marketing.
